Mary is most experienced in civil litigation, criminal, conveyancing, family, probate, wills, mental capacity and estate matters. She started to practice law in 1981 and continued for 29 years till 2010.
In 2010, she undertook a brief 4 year stint in a statutory board regulating the private education sector as Senior Legal Counsel of the legal department.
Till date, she has represented clients for cases involving Protection of Harassment Act (POHA), acts as corporate secretary for several companies, handles litigation matters relating to civil litigation including matters relating to the Land Titles Act, Road Traffic and Tenancy disputes.
In the category of family disputes, she handles marital, separation and contentious custody and maintenance of children, and distribution of matrimonial assets.
In 2014, she returned to the practice of law. She is motivated, solution focused, passionate and committed to reasonable fees and has special interest in estate planning, drafting ,interpretation of wills and matters under the Mental Capacity Act in Singapore.
She was a member of the Inquiring committee of the Law Society of Singapore (1996 – 2010) seating as Chairperson and member during that period.
Mary enjoys volunteering at the Artground, a creative and inspirational space for artistes and children. She also has interests in music, literature and the history of Singapore.
