Mary Leong

Admitted to the Singapore Bar in January 1981, has been practising as both an advocate and solicitor for 28 years primarily in conveyancing, adoption and family law. She has experience in civil and litigation work as well. Her conveyancing experience includes acting for developers in their projects and en-bloc sales. She has also acted for vendors and purchasers in completed and development (progress payments) projects and for mortgagors and mortgagees, tenancies and reviewing and drafting contracts and wills . Her clients have included ABN Amro, DBS, UOB, OCBC (previously OUB, Keppel TatLee), ING BANK and STANDARD CHARTERED BANK. She has also acted in many probate and letters of administration matters involving large and small estates.

She is an active volunteer, having served in various community, social and religious committees including the SAFRA legal clinic. She was a member of the Inquiry Committee Board of the Law Society from 1996 to 2009. She joined the Council for Private Education from 2010 to 2013 where she set up the legal department and assisted to regulate the private education industry. In 2014 she resumed practice as a consultant in Templars Law LLC. She is a Commissioner for Oaths.
