  1. OUR PRIVACY POLICY
    1. This Privacy Policy is to assist you in understanding how we at Templars Law LLC collect, use, disclose and/or process any personal data you have provided to us, which is subject to Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (the “PDPA”).
    2. By interacting with us and/or using this website, you agree to us handling your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
    3. Amendments to this Privacy Policy may be made from time to time at our absolute discretion and will be posted on this page. By continuing to interact with us, subject to applicable law, you agree to be bound by the prevailing terms of our Privacy Policy as so updated from time to time.
  1. THE PDPA
    1. Under the PDPA, ‘Personal Data’ refers to data, whether true or not, about an individual who can be identified from that data; or from that data and other information to which the organisation has or is likely to have access. This includes names, identification numbers, contact details and education or professional background.
    2. All personal information provided to us will be kept confidential. We will notify you of the purposes for which your personal data may be collected, used, disclosed and/or processed, and obtain your consent for the collection, use, disclosure and/or processing of your personal data for the intended purposes, unless otherwise permitted by law. More information on the exceptional situations are in the Second, Third and Fourth Schedules of the PDPA, which are publicly available at http://statutes.agc.gov.sg.
  1. PURPOSES FOR COLLECTION, USE, DISCLOSURE AND PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
    1. Generally, your personal data will be collected, used, disclosed and/or processed for various purposes, including and relating to:-
        • the provision of legal services to you;
        • our administrative and business operations (such as verifying your identity, processing payments and internal audits);
        • complying with any requirement, request or direction of any legal, governmental or regulatory authorities or other relevant authorities;
        • storing, hosting and backing up of your personal data;
        • sending you any administrative emails and/or changes to our policies, terms and conditions;
        • organising events or other
        • marketing/promotional activities; and/or
        • any other purposes permitted by law or with your consent.

    2. To serve you in the most efficient and effective way, we may disclose your personal data to our third party service providers, agents and/or our affiliates or related corporations, and/or other third parties whether situated in Singapore or outside of Singapore, for one or more of the above-stated Purposes unless such disclosure is prohibited by law.
    3. Where we disclose your personal data to third parties with your consent, do note that their data protection and privacy practices may differ from ours. We cannot assume responsibility for any unauthorized use of your personal data by third parties.
    4. If you provide information to us about any person other than yourself, you represent to us and must ensure that they understand the terms of this Privacy Policy and have given their consent thereto.
  1. MANAGEMENT OF PERSONAL DATA
    1. It is important that you update us of any changes in your personal data that you had initially provided us with. We will not be responsible for relying on inaccurate, inauthentic or incomplete personal data arising from your not updating us of any changes in your personal data.
